TRANSPORTATION CIVIL ENGINEER

We are seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer/Project Engineer to join our team in Chicago. If you’re passionate about transportation and site engineering projects and enjoy working in a collaborative environment, this opportunity is for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design process for transportation projects, setting priorities and developing objectives
• Serve as a technical resource for a multidisciplinary team
• Design tasks may include:
• Highway and roadway plans, specifications, and estimates
• Sewer plans, specifications, and estimates
• Project permitting and reports
• Mentor junior engineers and support their professional growth
• Engage in professional society involvement

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in transportation engineering, highway, and local street design
• Knowledge of IDOT, CDOT, and municipal design standards
• IL PE license required
• Proficiency in MicroStation/OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil3D is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with clients and teams
